Cervical Traction Kits

Cervical Traction Kit: An Overview

Cervical traction is a procedure used for treating neck pain. It involves lightly pulling your head to create space between the bones in your neck. It is also sometimes known as spinal traction.

The procedure can be done by your healthcare provider or yourself using our home cervical traction kit. It gives additional space between the vertebrae in your neck to reduce pressure and tension. It is highly effective in relieving symptoms like pain from various conditions and issues. Moreover, it treats issues with nerves and muscles around your spine.

Benefits of Using Cervical Traction Devices

A home traction kit provides several benefits:

  • It treats different types and causes of neck pain, tightness, and tension.
  • It relaxes the muscles, which ultimately leads to lower neck pain and increased flexibility.
  • It also treats and flattens bulging or herniated discs.
  • It eliminates pain from joints, sprains, and spasms.
  • It also treats neck injuries, pinched nerves, and cervical spondylosis.
  • The improvement of the affected muscles and joints around the neck can lead to improved mobility, movement, and alignment.
  • You can perform your daily activities easily.

Our Range of Traction Kits

We offer various home traction kits, like:

  1. Pelvic Traction Kit: This home traction kit is ideal for people suffering from lumbar spondylosis. It decreases herniation and reduces compression in the spinal area, thereby releasing any trapped nerves. You can also opt for hip braces and supports for a more comfortable option.
  2. Cervical Traction Kit: The cervical traction kit helps relieve pressure from the cervical spine region. It provides adequate support and traction to the cervical and upper dorsal vertebrae.
  3. New Foot/Skin Traction Kit: The skin traction kit is particularly effective for senior citizens or people whose skeletal system, joints, and muscles are weak. It is a post-orthopedic surgery method that relieves pain in the lower back, hip, and legs.
  4. Ankle Traction Kit: An ankle traction kit provides support to the lower spine, ankle and lower leg.
  5. Leg Traction Kit: This traction kit also works as a knee traction kit. It relieves pain in the lower back and knee region.

How Cervical Traction Works?

A cervical traction is performed in three different types:

Manual Cervical Traction

In this method, your therapist uses their hands to gently pull your head and neck away from your body. They hold your head and neck for 10 seconds and then release them gently. It can be done several times at different angles. This traction is usually performed to diagnose your neck condition, gently stretch muscles or neck, and relieve pain.

Mechanical Cervical Traction

In this cervical traction, a harness is attached to your head when you are lying down. This harness is then attached to a machine, which uses traction to stretch your head and neck away from your body.

Over-the-Door Cervical Traction

It involves a home traction kit for neck. Here, a harness or cushioned sling is strapped to your head and neck. You, then, have to attach the harness to a rope and pulley system over a door. Sometimes, your doctor may prescribe you to add weight to the treatment. So, you can attach a weight at the end of the rope or manually pull the rope to stretch the neck.
